"Does neurofeedback work? I mean will it work for me/my kid?" The number one question that I am asked. Read on to learn more about the answer to this popular question.

I can tell you from first hand experience that it does. I trained myself before I ever trained anyone else. But more than that, I can say that over the past 13 years, after working with men, women, children, students, business professionals, athletes, preschoolers, university students, teachers, nurses, engineers, special needs students, dancers, professional artists, business owners, moms and dads, and a few of my own relatives to name a few...neurofeedback works if you stick with it.

It is a gradual brain training program. Not a fix all. Not an overnight miracle. It is an incredible training tool that along with other healthy choices, can help your central nervous system, brain, and body to regulate itself. You will get out of it what you put into it. Just as with other healthy lifestyle choices and wellness modalities, you have to do the program the way it is intended to work. The way our brain needs to learn and adapt and maintain a more optimal energy pattern. No one wants my services to work more quickly and profoundly than I do. I cannot promise the exact same outcome for every individual that I work with because there are so many variables and factors that are out of my control. But, I can promise you that I will give you the very best of what I have to offer! If you commit to the program and see it through (until your brain is maintaining your progress on it's own) then I am confident that you will be happy with your results.

Why can I say this? (A little side note: I was skeptical at first too. Really because I just didn't understand it. As I learned more, I fell in love with it. Learning that we can train our brain was pretty exciting! As a teacher who loves learning how people learn; as a student who LOVED anatomy and physiology and learning how our bodies function; and as a human who strongly believes that life was meant to be enjoyed to the full.) I can say that neurofeedback works because of all of the clients' stories I got to watch unfold through the years. Many times exhausted parents and frustrated kids who took the time and effort to work with me (and other trainers) and stick with the program and see it through. The changes that they were experiencing and sharing kept happening over and over again, so much so, that my confidence in neurofeedback training grew and became firmly rooted.

So if you come to my office and ask if I think neurofeedback can help you or your kid, I will tell you yes! If you commit to the training program as intended, listen to my recommendations, and see it through, then I believe it can help you or your kid. You will get out of it what you put into it! It is that simple!!
